Rocket Fizz Kalamazoo along with Copper's Dog House and Beowoof Provisions for Pets, is working to plan the 2026 edition of Dogs in the Zoo! This is part of the In the Zoo series of events - follow Downtown Kalamazoo Collective for more details.

This day of furry fun happens on September 12th from 10:00-2:00. There will be vendors with information to share about adoptions, treats, grooming, veterinary care and so much more.

10:00 brings a Dachshund Race

11:00 is the Doggie & Me Look-a-Like Contest

12:00 is 3 heats of fast Hot Dog Eating (amateur, professional and 4 legged)


This event is filled with so much joy (and slobber!) that it is one of our favorite days of the year! Please bring your furry friends, your less furry friends and yourself to the Downtown Kalamazoo Mall on September 12th!

If you like dogs, want to pet dogs and maybe want to adopt a dog, you can't miss the fun!!
